The result of trust in the Lord Jesus Christ
"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation..." (Ephesians 1:13)
Comes through hearing and believing God's word which reveals the Lord Jesus as the only Saviour
"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15)
It is provided by God's grace as a free gift to all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Consequences of rejecting God's salvation are unthinkable
"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..." (Hebrews 2:3)
Salvation has been provided through God's grace, not willing that any should be perish
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men..." (Titus 2:11)
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)
